Marissa has been called the warmest (and stubbornest) person that you'll ever meet. There's no telling what she'll do when she puts her mind to it. Knowing that, it's no surprise that she spends her evenings locating super-villains and making sure they see sick kids that could use a pick-me-up.
Jay Thomas has made himself quite the reputation in Southkeep. No one knows which side of the line he's on when it comes to superhumans. That makes him dangerous. Throw in a little mystery concerning his past and one big lie and you've got yourself a proper antihero.
The first villain to be recruited, the Reaper is known for his ruthlessness and menacing nature. Of course, those two factors and his scarred appearance make him the obvious choice to visit sick kids.
Savage proclaims himself as the most ruthless of Southkeep's superhuman population. His limited interests certainly don't include visiting sick children. At least, they didn't before Marissa recruited him.
He isn't quite as malevolent as some of his counterparts, operating under a code of ethics, but Zap is not a villain to be trifled with. He is the necessary evil that the city needs to maintain a perfect balance.
Narcotic only has one agenda that matters: if she is going to play the super-villain game, she wants to be queen. Manipulation and jealousy are her best friends, but she might make room for some young kids soon.
A docile cat-burglar at heart, Poet has no interest in local or global domination. watching someone suffer for a few moments is far better than overseeing an entire city. She's all about the small end-game.
